The department offers Master of Computer Applications (MCA) since 1994. The department motivates Staff and Students to promote Industry Institute Interaction and R&D activities. In addition to regular curriculum the department organizes technical seminars, symposia, workshops, industrial visits, in-plant training to expose the students to the real world environments and to enable them to gain practical knowledge. The department has excellent modern (Advanced) computing facilities with latest Software and Hardware. After the office hours, the Computer laboratories are kept open for the benefit of students and staff till night 12’O clock. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with the various Industries , Institutions of higher learning and R/D organizations like IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, Sun Microsystems , Infosys , Wipro, etc., to enhance problem solving skills of students through Industry oriented projects, applying state of the art techniques.

The students of this department are highly placed in the industrial segments and in trade / commercial / corporate organisations while many of them pursue higher education in India and overseas. The department organises a technical symposium called Cyber Crest to enrich the students’ learning. The IEEE student branch and Computer Society of India – Student chapter provide opportunities and help promote organisational and leadership qualities in students apart from exposure to the latest technological advancements.

Eligibility for Admission

A pass in any recognized Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline with mathematics at 10, +2 level or a pass in any recognized Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline with mathematics as one of the subject.
